Critical floods in Tarai Districts

As you may have heard, once again Nepal is facing a catastrophic natural disaster.

Massive floods and landslides triggered by incessant rainfall for the past three days have affected several parts of the country – mainly in the Central and Eastern parts of Nepal.

As a result, many people are killed, thousands of people are displaced and millions of properties had swollen by the floods and landslides. Updated media sources indicate that as least 43 people have been killed, 16 are badly injured, and 24 people are missing.

Twenty-one districts have been impacted, and multiple roads have reportedly been blocked, including the East-West Highway.

The Tarai districts – one of the poorest region of Nepal – are the most impacted districts. Damaging landslides, obstructed power supply, destroyed infrastructures has lead thousands of people to be displaced.

Monsoon rains typically occur between July and September and often cause deadly flooding and landslides: the current rain is unfortunately expected to continue…

We cannot wait until it gets worse… We cannot stay still and do nothing, when thousands of people are such in despair…

These people have nothing left; no home, no shelter, not even food or water. They have to endure the death of their beloved ones, the collapse of their homes, the collapse of their lives…

So, we request from the bottom of our heart your participation in these hard times through prayer and financial support for these victims.

With the donations raised, we will provide to these victims a temporary relief: a tent, some food and fresh water, and anything that could be useful.

We want to go to Tarai Districts as soon as possible, ideally in 4 or 5 days: we need you guys…

Please let’s make the planet a better place to live… A place where we care for each other, where we help those in need…

Let’s be kind and do epic things…
